Linus Day

Today I spent the day at The Cotton Patch for a Linus Charity Sew-in day.  It was a really good turn out and we managed to make and quilt a lot of quilts.  We were visited by Stuart and Ann from the Great British Sewing Bee who gave us a hand as well.  Here is just one of the rows of quilts we managed to put together as it came of the machine.

We managed about four of these together with others that the ladies managed to do on the domestic machines.  These are all going to be bound now and sent to Linus ready for distribution, together with all the ones that were bound today.  I would like to say thank you to Joy for arranging all this, and putting in all the hard work needed in order to arrange such a day, and also to be a great coordinator for your area for Linus, and I know that they are very grateful.

I have not escaped yet though, I have still come away with about 5 more to do back in my studio and return to Joy when completed.  Actually not many of us escaped without taking some home to finish and return.  Hmmm going to have to keep an eye on that in future. (I’m sure she puts something in the coffee that make us more susceptible……)     😉
