If you are unhappy with your purchase you can return an item to us. Within the European Union, customers have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days beginning the day after the date that the item is delivered. It must be in its original condition with the packaging intact and returned to us at our address shown above. Notification of intent to return must be made in writing. We recommend that you receive a proof of posting or send it by recorded delivery as no responsibility for goods failing to arrive will be accepted without such proof. We cannot accept returns of videos, DVDs, computer software that has been opened, subscription magazines or fabric cut to your specific requirements. We will issue a full refund less any Capricorn Quilting discount that was applied to the item. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is damaged or defective and therefore postage and packaging charges are not refundable. If we have to collect an item for you we reserve the right to recover the costs of collection from you. This does not affect your statutory rights. When returning items it is best to use a signed for service, so you can assure yourself the returned goods have been received back at our offices.
Damaged, defective or incorrect items
Please call or email us if you have a problem with an item that is damaged or defective and discuss arrangements for rectifying the problem. We will refund the delivery charges incurred in returning the item to us (either via a personalised pre-paid envelope and return label, or by refunding your return postage costs). We check all items returned to us and if we cannot find a fault, we reserve the right to re-charge you for the item(s) and to recover any costs incurred in recovering it from you.
When returning items to us it is very important that you put a note inside the package advising us of your reason for return, name, address, order number and also a contact telephone number. We ask you to do this so that we are able to ensure you receive the correct refund. Please make sure all returned items are well packaged, as not to be damaged in the post.
