Wonky has been tamed – Hooray

Breaking news, the Wonky one has been tamed and has been finished.

Yes folks it is done, but not without a bit of a fight.  Here is a picture of one of the problems I had with it.

So the quilt had thrown down the gauntlet and I picked it up and ran with it.  First I had to get the edges pinned and stitched down to take the fullness out of it.

Then I had to take out all the fullness in the seams and then the fullness in the body of the block itself and this is what happened.

Now that is MUCH better.  The remaining couple of blocks were not to bad, so finished it off without too much of a fight with it.

Here are some of the blocks now that it is complete.

These are some of the shots of the back of the quilt.  It is not a good fabric for getting pictures but you get the idea.

This is what it looks like now that it has been trimmed and ready for binding.

The edges are still a little funky and I still have to do a bit of work on it whilst binding it but I think it has been transformed.  It is now a Swan and not an ugly duckling.

I hope you like what I have done to it.  If you want to keep up with a lot of my work you can also go to my Facebook site https://www.facebook.com/CapricornQuilting and if you do, please like it as well.
